my turning 22 was a quiet affair, just-so, and just the way i would have liked. thank you all who remembered, and those who wished me after i wrestled it out of you, you guys made my birthday that much sweeter.
the 3 lovely girls brought me to the Hyatt for my much anticipated pre-bday celebration, where we ate alot and laughed alot, my idea of the perfect bday prelude- fabulous food and even better company.

and on the 15th, i awoke to the most pleasant surprise

no photos of me fresh out of bed in my jammies because i look like a ghost.
we spent a languid afternoon wandering around ghim moh and ecp, and eventually wound up at a dodgy arcade playing foosball and shooting hoops.

one of my more flattering photos; after many misses, i'm convinced that i was probably better off at home perched in front of the tv.
but the best part of the day was when we went to the museum, which has to be one of my most favourite things to do. we, at least i, spent 2 happy hours visiting the exhibits and trying hard to be arty farty. there, i've admitted it.

it's really gorgeous by nightfall.

loris brought me to novus, situated within the museum itself, which was a huge hit with me. i don't usually blog about the places i've eaten at, but this deserves a special mention because i thoroughly enjoyed myself. the food, ambience, everything was so good, snooty maitre d' notwithstanding. the appetizer, pan seared scallops with pork belly, chestnut puree and red wine reduction was amazing, and you can't ever go wrong with creme brulee for dessert.

thus concludes my birthday post, if i've sounded overly happy, i suppose it's because i am.
