tea for two again

sometime ago, we crossed the two year mark.

in other news, surgery at sgh is over, at long last. i can't say that i've enjoyed the past 8 weeks in their entirety, but as things with their highs and lows go, i'll remember and cherish the highs, definitely. we were able to pop down to chinatown just because we were so near anyway, without anyone giving us the raised eyebrow. the yummiest food at the temporary market- oh my ikan bilis yong tau foo, where have you been all my life!! even moaning about having to eat at the godawful houseman canteen, i'll miss that. i'll miss my cg boys, you made my med and surg postings alot bearable, maybe even damn fun! weboggle competitions in the student lounge, nightcalls with the free food and naan. and i'll miss ben chua, katory and dr. tan (who's that? go figure, haha not very hard). i liked OT sessions; the surgeons would banter with us over blood and organs, and make us feel like more than just pathetic students, perhaps even like one of them. until they start asking us scholarly questions and make us feel pathetic all over again.

tomorrow this time we'll be in bangkok! i'm hella excited.
although if it doesn't rain, it pours. and if it doesn't pour, it floods.
and if it doesn't flood, they bring in the tanks. damn, we can't win can we.
