i must wax lyrical about today, quite simply because today was the day group 30 finally had a decent day of CSFC, of constructive teaching and effective learning. of going home at the end of the day, brains saturated with newfound knowledge, a satisfying rosy feeling in our tummies, all the time acknowledging very gleefully to one another that the day was not spent in vain and there'd be hope yet. peachy.

because for once we managed to have wonderful surgery tutorials, when for the past 3 weeks surgery tutors postponing or cancelling tutorials seemed all the rage; our breast tutorial was postponed 4 times in a row, and we think indefinitely. our thyroid tutorial in the morning was a dream, the doctor was incredibly nice, albeit staying up all night in OT. our hernia tutorial wasn't effectively about hernias, but we learnt to conduct a mean abdomen examination. and finally we wrapped up with neuro exam in the last tutorial.

it took us all of 3 weeks. after 3 weeks of moaning incessantly to whoever would listen, inciting the obligatory "huh?" and "oh dear. how come like that one?", like a cheesy ray of sunshine breaking through cloudy skies, we have a winner.


this past week we had clinical skills lab, i found that pretty fascinating.
we learnt suturing. my inane cross stitching skills have finally found some relevance.



in addition,
we learnt to stick needles into veins,

stick tubes up our noses,


and stick fingers into assholes.

this past week i went out with mich and jen finally and amanda and kailyn on monday and had crazy fun :)
on tuesday, i watched MI3. Maggie Q is very hot (that red dress!). Jonathan Rhys Meyers is even hotter.

this past week i've also felt pudgy and heavy, but that isn't really the point now, is it.



and tomorrow is a holiday!
